Chances are, you have answered yes to both or either of these questions. People want nothing more than to succeed in life. However, there are many things people do and don’t do that lead them to failure.

When you sit down and really think about what causes someone to fail, you can quickly come up with many reasons. However, have you thought about what causes people to succeed? Why not focus on what you can do instead of what you shouldn’t?

Let’s take a look at ten things you can do to lead you to success in your life or in your business.

1. Set definite goals. If you do not have any goals set for your business or your life, you will not be successful at anything. You have to have a vision. You need something to work towards. When there isn’t an end goal, you really are working towards nothing, and that doesn’t lead to success. Write down your goals and read them aloud. Make them real.

2. Gain ambition. If you don’t have any desire to do much of anything in your life, you won’t succeed. If you feel you have a lack of ambition, you really need to search yourself to see why you don’t have any motivation. Maybe you are not seeing what can come out of your work in the end. What is it you desire to have? More money? Write down the things that you want in life and then get excited about them.

3. Develop self-control. If you are the type of person that does what you want when you want to, you will never get anything accomplished in your life. Why? You can’t stay focused on one thing too long until it is completed. This requires discipline, which is imperative with any network marketing business. If you give in to your negative side, you will fail.

4. Stop procrastinating. This is easier said than done. Everyone, at one time or another has procrastinated. It is very common. However, if it gets out of control, it can cause failure in whatever it is you do. It is important to remember that things will not get done on their own. You must take part in making them get done on their own. This is extremely important in completing any project. Once you start, don’t stop.

5. Never quit. Quitting is for losers. This also goes hand in hand with not procrastinating. You see, procrastinating can lead to quitting. When you start something, it is important to finish it to the end. What was all the work worth when you started what you started if you aren’t going to finish it? It is worthless and your time was well wasted. See your projects to the end.

6. Become a positive person. Did you know that people would avoid negative people? The negative or positive energy is very contagious, so why not be positive?

7. Don’t believe the lie that you can get rich quick. If you fall into this lie, you will soon find out that it isn’t true, because you do have to work at everything. If you don’t work at it, you will not succeed. This is a plain and simple concept.

8. Focus on your efforts. Again, this goes with procrastination. Don’t let anything distract you from the task at hand. If you have many different opportunities coming at you, and you are working on one that hasn’t come up off the ground yet, keep working on it. Ignore the other opportunities. If you keep starting new opportunities, but never see your efforts to the end, you will always be jumping around with nothing to show for it.

9. Be enthusiastic. What do you like about your opportunity? What is so good about it, and why are you offering it to others? Believe it or not, people can see just from your website, if you are enthusiastic or not. Get excited about your opportunity and others will get excited right along with you.

10. Keep yourself humble. Never think that you know it all or that you are too good to help anyone. This is true in both life and the business world. Nobody will want to be around you if you give off this egotistic attitude. It is important to portray to people that you are willing to help and have a humble spirit about you.
