How Branded Products will Encourage Loyalty
The use of promotional products can do just about anything for your company. You can use custom imprinted products to build brand awareness, generate goodwill towards employees and create customer loyalty. Let’s take a look at how you can use promotional products to build loyalty both inside and outside your organization. Why would you want to want to use promotional products to build loyalty? What are the benefits? Well, let’s start with the obvious. Why would a customer use your product or service to begin with? Why would they go to you as opposed to your competitor? Is it about your excellent product that does more than your competitor? Your competitors make the same claims. To me, the difference is that proverbial “warm, fuzzy feeling” for your customer when they think about your company. It helps to have your employees provide incredible, top-notch customer service. It helps to have an incredible product. However, with so much competition in the marketplace, your customer needs a gentle reminder as to why they need to return to your company. This is how you can use promotional items to create that “warm fuzzy feeling” and extend your brand. Here are a few examples as to how you can use promotional products to create loyalty among customers. It always helps to have products that your customers can use on a regular basis. You can also create a theme around your product. For example, if you’re doing a summer promotion, you can have a promotional barbecue set branded with your company’s logo and hand it out to your customers. If you time it right, this will save your customers a trip to Home Depot to buy a barbecue set for themselves. If your company treats customers or employees to a sporting event, you can give them a product that ties into the event. For example, if you have an outing to a football game, why not make the seating a little more comfortable with a blanket that has your company’s logo or a stadium cushion that will last for years . Within your organization, you can use promotional items to build loyalty and motivate your employees. Let’s say that you have created a sales incentive trip next year to Cancun. After working so hard to exceed sales objectives, wouldn’t a margarita by the pool be a great way for a sales rep to celebrate his or her achievements? You can get your sales reps to start thinking about the trip and get them motivated by providing margarita glasses with your company’s logo during the halfway mark in the sales contest. Another example is to provide luggage tags or a beach towel with your company’s logo. The luggage tags can remind your reps that they are leaving town and the towel sends the message of warm sunny weather. Feel free to get creative and have fun with the possibilities. Sure you can use pens, magnets and the more traditional promotional products. But, it will be a pleasant surprise to customers and employees when they see a company creating buzz!
