MLM Leverage - What Is It and How Do I Get It?

MLM Network Marketing gives people the ability to create leverage. Leverage is increases your ability to get things done. Leverage can help you lift a massive stone by yourself or create a global organization. Leverage multiplies your efforts, and in business it can happen in at least 4 ways.

4 Ways to Create Leverage in Network Marketing

1) Create Leverage with Marketing – A really great prospector could possibly recruit a few people consistently every week, but a great marketer could consistently sign up a person every day. Marketing creates leverage because it gets your message to large numbers of people. Marketers create leverage by consistently attracting large numbers of interested people.

2) Create Leverage with Systems – When you have someone who is interested in your business or products, you COULD spend 3 or 4 hours explaining how everything works, or you could use a system to handle doing most of the education of your prospect. Your system could be to send people to a website and get them on a conference call. Your options are virtually endless, but a few suggestions are to use CDs, DVDs, Websites, Conference Calls, or any kind of printed materials. Your goal is to arm your prospects to educate themselves, so you can focus on building relationships. This will create time leverage because you could have hundreds of people looking your information over, but you could only talk to a handful to a dozen every day.

The advantage of using a system is that you can know what your process is, and you can teach other people how to use it. I personally plug everyone into a website because it allows them to get answers as fast as they want them. And then they call or write me so I can help them with their specific questions.

3) Create Leverage with your Compensation Plan – You need to know how to USE your comp plan. Your don’t need understand everything about it, you just need to know how to USE it. Let’s say your goal is to go full time so you can really launch your business to the next level. If you need $2,000 per month to do that, then you need to know how to create that in your comp plan. You may be able to create it with only 6 new business partners a month who are placed strategically in your organization. Decide what you need to go full time, and then use your comp plan to help you get there ASAP. Leveraging your comp plan helps you reach your goals faster, and can help you go full time sooner.

4) Create Leverage with Your Team – Let’s say you are part time and you can dedicate about 20 hours a week to building your business. In the first month you bring on 10 new team members, and 6 of those are interested in either using your referral program or the business opportunity. Organize them into a team support call that meets once a week. On this call you’re going to personally work with people to help them move forward.

Start the first call by asking what it is everyone wants out of doing this. Then ask them how many hours a week they can commit to reaching the goal they said they wanted. Just to make it easy, let’s say that everyone thought they could commit to 20 hours a week.

Pay attention because you just went from having 20 hours a week invest into growing your business to having 140 hours a week invested into growing your business. Your 6 team members each wants 20 hours in their business… that’s 120 hours. Now add back in your 20 hours, and that’s 140 hours every week going into building your business. That’s a form of time leverage that 99% of network marketers will never see because they don’t build teams.

All it really takes is a few key people duplicating your efforts to start getting very large jumps in your business. Leverage yourself by marketing to systems, and knowing how to use your comp plan to create income, and lastly build your teams. Teams create the largest form of leverage possible because they grow your business exponentially.
