The World's Worst Business Woman of the Year Award: Won By
Me? I believe I should qualify for this award. My track record makes interesting but rather sad reading. So get your slippers on, curl up your toes, sit down in a nice comfy chair and make a soothing drink. Yes, get ready, and prepare to cry along with me. Somehow I managed to survive being chucked out when I was 13. I hid in bushes, sheltered in phone boxes and in the library... (long story - wont bore you with the details). Anyway, I was still homeless into my 30's. But by then I had lost the will to live. Then I was rescued! Can you believe that? Yes, someone was kind enough to give me a bit of advice which saved my life. Strangely, in between wanting to die and being rescued, I had a vision. (Not the first, hopefully wont be the last). This vision stayed with me, building something inside me that has kept on growing. The vision was a glimpse into a future world i.e. what life could be like in the foreseeable future. There was one great change. People were happy / happier. Free from problems - the sort that currently bog us down. For example: There was no worrying about how to pay bills, how do I find somewhere to live, am I going to die in an accident, what is going to happen to me when I get old. All those aged old problems and worries simply did not exist! What could have caused that? Ah! Something came along - a design, that was evolutionary, just like the light-bulb... It wasn't extraordinary. But it did the job. It gave politicians the ability to improve the quality of life for everybody. It filled the gap, solving poverty, reducing health problems, aiding education, updating transport, satisfying energy needs without pollution, thereby advancing humanity (ensuring our survival). It ended the disputes because suddenly, there was no more confusion - things fell into place and made sense. Man could live in harmony - mind, body, spirit. Man got his priorities in order - and wars became obsolete! Sounds wacky? I must have been on drugs? I don't blame you for feeling sceptical- I would too! However, to qualify this, I wrote down the design specifications and did years of research (to provide feasibility i.e. proof this design will work). And here's where I get to the crunch: A business-minded person (let us not be sexist), would have capitalised on this design, rushing off to the patent office, a likely manufacturer and he or she would now be rolling in dosh! After all, the world really needs this design - people in every country are crying out for it - it is needed to save so many lives. What did I do? None of the above is the answer. Having got the proof in my hand, my mind went blank! I didn't know who to go to or what to do with the information. I waited and waited, hoping for another vision but none came. I followed my instincts and recently the design specifications and the feasibility info. on the web - it can be downloaded for free! I don't make a single penny! And that's why I should win this award. Because when it comes to capitalising on this idea, I shut down mentally. To me it is not something to capitalise on. It was like instructions from a higher intelligence; I am merely the messenger. So there, now I'm doing my best to deliver the message. You now need to decide what follows. http://www.the-alternative.org.uk The-Alternative - Saving the world
